Plug Into the Tech Circuit

Every week, there’s a shiny new device, a jaw-dropping headline, or a product launch that promises to change everything. But what about what actually matters?

At The Tech Circuit, we're here to give you real tech behind the hype—because knowing what you're buying, clicking, connecting, or installing should feel good, not confusing.

Our mission

Understand what powers your world.

Our Story

What started as late-night debates over soldering irons and energy drinks in a cramped apartment has evolved into The Tech Circuit you know today. Back in 2023, four friends were tired of tech coverage that either talked down to everyday users or drowned in impenetrable jargon.

"I remember explaining to my mom how to set up her smart home devices for the fifth time," recalls Liam, our Tech & Gear Guide. "That's when it hit me: if tech is meant for everyone, why isn't tech talk accessible to everyone?"

This simple question sparked what would become our guiding principle: technology should be approachable, and understanding it should be enjoyable.

What We Stand For

At The Tech Circuit, we believe that:

  • Technology is for everyone—not just the technically inclined
  • No question is too basic—if you're wondering about it, others are too
  • Complex concepts can (and should) be explained simply—without sacrificing accuracy
  • Tech should work for you—not the other way around

Meet The Circuit Breakers

Our team comes from diverse backgrounds—former IT support specialists, electronics hobbyists, and yes, a couple of reformed tech snobs who've seen the light about accessible content.

Aldrich Confesor

Lifestyle & Tech Editor

Aldrich thinks of wearable tech the same way some people think of coffee: essential, but only if it works right. With a background in UX and a longtime fascination with how we interact with our devices, he covers everything from sleep trackers to digital wellness apps.

Chester Reyes

Tech & Gear Guide

Chester brings over six years of hands-on IT support experience to Tech Circuit, where he focuses on smart home ecosystems, everyday tech upgrades, and user-friendly gear recommendations. With a deep understanding of what makes devices work—and what makes them frustrating—he’s dedicated to helping readers find tech that fits seamlessly into real life.

Jaimie Faye

Associate Editor

Jaimie once automated her entire apartment after a string of failed plant rescues and forgotten thermostat settings. That side project turned into a full-on obsession with connected living—and eventually, her role at Tech Circuit. With an eye for sustainable hacks and creative automation, she writes for anyone who’s ever wished their home would just do the thing without them asking twice.

Luther Makari

Tech Editor

Luther doesn’t believe in fear-based tech coverage—or in ignoring the fine print. With a background in digital rights and online safety, he’s made a career out of unpacking internet rumors, decoding privacy policies, and explaining the difference between helpful paranoia and full-blown tinfoil hat energy.

What We Cover

DIY Tech Hacks

From building your own media server to extending the life of aging laptops, our DIY section proves you don't need an engineering degree to customize your tech experience. We test every hack in real-world conditions (sometimes to the dismay of our significant others when experiments take over the living room).

Tech Myths

Is private browsing actually private? Will charging your phone overnight destroy the battery? Our myth-busting investigations separate digital facts from fiction. This section was born after Raj's uncle refused to use online banking because he heard "hackers can see your screen through the wifi."

This Tech or That?

Decision paralysis is real when facing similar tech options. Our head-to-head comparisons don't just list specs—we tell you what those differences mean for actual daily use. Remember: we're not here to pick what's objectively "best," but what's best for how YOU use technology.

How We Work

Every article begins with a real question or problem we've encountered. Our content goes through a unique three-step process:

  1. The Technical Deep-Dive: Our team researches the nuts and bolts thoroughly
  2. The "Explain It To My Grandma" Test: If we can't explain it simply, we don't publish it
  3. The Real-World Trial: We test everything in actual daily use scenarios

This approach came from an early disaster when we recommended a "simple" smart home setup that took one reader an entire weekend to configure. Now, if we say something is easy, we mean it's actually easy—not "easy if you've been tinkering with tech for a decade."
